FabLab
Centre of Research for Sustainable Prefabrication Technologies
Positioned at an important hinge of Science Park II, FabLab is a contemporary remix of a Greek Agora with a R&D facility on emergent prefabrication technologies. Embracing and incorporating phygital workplaces of tomorrow, FabLab is a place of assembly that provides a social stage for exchanges, interactions and knowledge-sharing around what it means to design sustainable buildings and experiences for the 21st century.
The project sits at the intersection and integration of three spheres — the Public Promenade, the Research Incubator and the Academic Workplace — uniquely synergised to underscore the smart resilience of analogue spaces and its emerging relevance. In seeking to spearhead sustainable prefabrication technologies, FabLab is poised to value-add to Singapore’s Construction Industry Transformation Map (ITM).
